The 1st run of AMBER will consist of entering the required license information (license key or license server name/port or license file) and then extracting the packages. This entire process may take a few minutes depending on the speed of the computer. All subsequent runs will have significantly faster loading times.
Licensing
The 1st run will yield a licensing dialog as depicted below. If the license key is on the clipboard, just click the ‘Activate’ button to proceed. Otherwise, choose the appropriate option (license key or license server name/port or license file), enter the required information and then click the ‘Activate’ button when done.
Package Extraction
Each package has its integrity validated before it’s extracted to disk. The default location is ‘C:\AMBER\[Release]’. However, if the user doesn’t have write access to this location, a dialog will be displayed asking for an alternate location.
